The most interesting thing is that longer/harsher sentences for black people, relative to white people, is one of the go-to examples of racist oppression in our society.
So judicial leniency is privilege.. except when it happens to women, in which case it’s oppression.
every year after you turn 17 you get further away from being the age of the dancing queen and that’s my least favorite thing about growing up
don’t mistreat people who are sincerely kind
don’t use them for their generosity
and for fuck’s sake don’t take them for granted expecting them to always be there because they’re nice
good-natured people can be worn down so much that even they can become jaded
treat these people right
